Good morning, Live Journalers! I am currently snug as a bug in flannel sheets!

First of all, I must comment on the amusement I experienced when reading today's Doonesbury feed:

I am amused that Arnold is portrayed as a groping hand. I've always love the way Trudeau has symbolized political figures with objects.

Second,

kellinator was asking what folks on her friends list were thankful for. I'm thankful for a lot of things.

I'm thankful for ...
-my friends on lj who lead interesting lives and give me something different to think about.
-my health: I don't get sick often, and I can move around freely
-my job and that I can support myself in a reasonably luxurious fashion.
-flannel sheets
-my two adorable cats, who took turns snuggling with me this morning, and then proceeded to groom each other before chasing each other about the house.
-that I have one loving parent, because having two would dramatically increase the complexity of my gift giving process.
-the beauty of nature, in any season
-moments of unintentional wit
