I'm very happy to wake up and find that all of my friends who viewed Spiderman 2 are providing positively orgasmic reviews of the movie. Michael Chabon fleshed out the screen story and appears to have been hired on for the screenplay of Spiderman 3. I think he impressed them.
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is in pre production, as well. I look forward to seeing how Chabon adapts the screenplay to his own Pulitzer-winning book. And the question remains, will Toby McGuire end up acting in it? Toby had a spot in "Wonderboys", another book which Chabon wrote (but did not do the screenplay). And here we see Toby and Chabon on the Spiderman project. I hope Kavalier and Clay goes through. Directing the film will be Stephen Daldry, known for Billy Elliot and The Hours.
