After a brief morning pity-party, I spruced up and headed down to mountain view to meet various members of ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

I was 15 minutes late, much to my quasi-anal-retentive chagrin.
The discussion was a blast. Discourse is always a good thing, and I walked away with some new things to contemplate and investigate.
I took a different route on the drive home. I went through San Fran and Oakland. I saw their sequined hills and modest skyscrapers (relative to Chicago, of course!). It was rather pretty, in a bustling, overcrowded sort of way.
Oh, and for something odd, try http://www.logia.net/products/biblebar.html. Not since the Y2k Survival site have I chuckled so hard. This was the site that encouraged you to buy gallons of honey, because some apostle survived on locusts and honey. Yeah, great idea. Everything tastes better with honey.
