In which I grouse about health issues
Maybe you don't want to hear me whine about my ear infection and all that...so it's behind a cut.
Okay, I'm now on my 5th pill into my 30 pill tour of antibiotics. I feel some improvements in some ways, but by no means am I out of the woods. I'm very eager to no longer have fluid in my left ear. Although since I have an infection, I'm sure it's not just innocent "fluid". Hearing is still muted in that ear, and it is driving me nuts.
It's a good thing that I saw the doc when I did. That night my left eye started oozing a mucous like substance. That ended after the first two antiobiotic pills were taken.
As a bonus, my period started, so no immaculate conception this month.
The night before, sleep was a problem. I suddenly came down with a cough and I was just taking sudafed and the antibiotics. I was not wanting to mix my drugs and throw nyquil into the mix. So, I didn't sleep well. Last night I took some Mucinex with my other pills, and that seemed to go well.
Today, a little less pressure in the ear, but it seems to fluxuate. It's like it empties, and fills up again. I do notice that if I were to move about more hastily, my balance would be challenged. Good ol' inner ear.
Oh yes. And I got a bloody nose this morning from the dryness due to sudafed, and likely the frequent nose-blowings. Saline solution was handy to moisten the sinuses a bit.
I'll be so thrilled when this is over. I am so glad this isn't a permanent situation. At least I hope.
