Tv Thoughts: Veronica Mars!
Veronica Mars:
Episode 3:
I loved Ed Begley, Jr. He's always a fun addition to any show. I find Piz very charming. I hope to see more of him. I'm amazed that we've made it 3 episodes with Logan and Veronica together, but I think the wheels are starting to fall off. Though the episode did end with a romantic reconciliation, I don't see how it can last. Based on Logan's personality, he's primed for sabotaging the relationship. Or maybe this time it will be Veronica's turn, with her trust issues driving her up into the trees. I think Dick will be a source of angst, though. He's poised to pull off some larger, destructive act in the near future. However, the dinner with Logan and her dad next week should be great fun with dialogue.
The Dick Mood Index (Dickdex, if you will) was partly drunk, with a high chance of Ass on this episode. He was trying to bring more doubt in Veronica's head to split her and Logan up. When will that boy end up in a 12 step program? Or when will he end up dying tragically in a freak beer bong accident?
As I mentioned in
kaidysoft's journal, I think Piz is definitely more suited for Veronica, whereas Logan, who is trying to "reform", may not make it. With more money than role models, this guy is a train wreck waiting to happen (over and over again).
I was happy to see Weavil, finally. Boy, that temper is a problem. I hope he can find some stability working on campus. And it seems he's primed to continue to help Veronica in her detective efforts, now that he has a taste of it with V's dad. Since he's a janitor, I'm thinking V will now have access to all sorts of offices. Weavil is the new Wallace!
