I'm not going to get a DVD writer until they are capable of copying actual DVD movies with all the features onto a blank disk.

So in other words, you've had one for two years?
I've made literally hundreds of exactly what you are describing, with nothing other than what can be bought at best buy and what can be downloaded after a well-worded google search for free.

Though I paid for it, DVD X Copy did it all in just one click (well, two) of the button.

It's definitely a worthwhile solution, but as you point out, it's not free. (Also, you don't have as much control over what it does, I think...)

It has an advanced mode that I haven't even tried yet that should let me customize compression of various areas of the disk, etc.
