So, Dish dropped Viacom channels from their lineup due to a supposed 6 cent per customer increase in fees. This amounts to a contract increase of $540,000. Dish found this unreasonable. I think there must be something else to it. As a result, I'm losing comedy central, mtv, vh1, nickelodeon, and a few others. Furthermore, Direct TV is offering a really nifty promotion on their service: free receivers, free installation. After being a Dish network customer for 4 years, perhaps I should move over to Direct TV. And hey, their commercials are cooler.

I'm still sleepy today. I have to ask myself why I am surprised that I am sleepy. After all, I got 4 hours of sleep the night before, and I only beat that by an hour last night. Both those numbers are less than what the average person needs.

Does anyone use Peet's "Tea Tour"? It's like a wine club. for 3-6 months, they send you different types of teas. It sounds fun to me.

This happens a lot. While I was still there last year we dropped a local conglomerate with a handful of stations because they asked for more than Charlie Ergen would pay.

He's super-frugal, but [livejournal.com profile] meredithjean is gonna want her Noggin back soon. MTV I can do without. ;)

No, I didn't...last week was a low point in my tv watching habits.

I'm torn...dish is still about 5 dollars cheaper for what I get.
