Here is an interesting article on the origine of the Pledge of Allegiance.

I had no idea that they didn't add "Under God" to the Pledge until 1954, during the red scare.

I forgot how old it was, but dosen't it piss you off that 'under god' was added so recently yet causes this much hub-bub.

Aye, that it does. It shows that our Church/State gap is narrowing over time, and not staying put or expanding.

huh what do you know. that and in god we trust on our money is what i thought were the last 2 bastions of the link officially. that sucks it was added.
