(no subject)

Did I mention that I went to a bbq yesterday that was hosted by my boss. I put sun-block on my exposed parts...except my face.

Annie, the Red-nosed IT professional.

Either that, or I look like an alcoholic.

Tonight, 5 miles of jogging is on the agenda.

I wish to go new shoe shopping. It is time.

The good news at work is:

Since we all broke a record in donating money to the United Way, we get casual dress until next February. Usually, we get it in the summer months only. This is good. Yes. Good.

yay for United Way!! and yay for casual dress!!
I actually took the job I have right now because I hated wearing suits to work everyone. Well.. that wasn't the only reason, but it was a HUGE draw!

I SO do not miss the dress code at USAA! I think I had exactly 6 acceptable outfits that I consciously cycled through so I wasn't wearing the same thing each day of the following week...heh! When we finally got casual Fridays I wore my dresses just because I didn't have to wear hideous nylons! :-P I never risked wearing any skirts less than ankle length for fear of the 1" above the knee rule...when your legs are naturally long everywhere, they don't end up only 1" above the knee even if they look completely appropriate...

Aloe vera for your poor nose, but I'm sure you already knew that...take care of yourself!

Since we went to business casual, most folks have been able to "skirt the issue" of lengths, etc. In fact, you would probably be agog and aghast at what some of these kids are wearing these days.

:-)

Yes, I've been "aloe-ver" the aloe vera. I have a bottle of the gel you keep in the refrigerator. It feels soooo good.
