Today has been busy, yet slow. I had to go to our legal counsel office down the road to troubleshoot a scanner problem. Real strange stuff, that. The scanner software hits an error when you try to scan handwritten documents over 6 pages. But it will take typewritten docs till the cows come home. Both are saved as .pdf files. I'm not sure what the disconnect is there.

Anyway, it looks like I'll be out for dinner with coworkers tonight, and then home for whatever I wish.

This just in. My coworker is so good at being a straight-man. He play a joke on you and keep a straight face for as long as it takes. He did this with a coworker of ours in another office. He called and told him one of our high profile systems was down and the guy on the other end believed him, and was ready to round up the troops to address the problem. And the rest of us fell for it, too. So I evened the score by unleasing an upside down can of compressed air on his hind-quarters. He now has Frosted Blue Dockers.

I was hoping to shock him, but all he did was giggle like a little girl. Assuming a little girl looked like a 50 year old man.

Hmm...maybe the OCR engine is working harder at deciphering the handwritten docs so it chokes after 6 pages? Even if they're not using the OCR features, it might be active while scanning or saving the PDF. Doesn't make much sense though...just a thought...hope you figure that one out...enjoy dinner with the practical jokers!

Yeah, I was wondering something similar. It's definitely not the hardware that's choking.
