(no subject)

I think my wireless access point crapped out. For whatever reason, I cannot connect to the internet via the router. I can't imagine someone changing my settings. And everything worked fine this morning. Odd. Everything looks fine in the wireless configurations, too.

I have more troubleshooting to engage in, but I'm in no mood to troubleshoot this tonight. Feh.

And me, I'm such an internet addict, that I want to be able to watch my tv and surf the net, too.

Glerg.

Where do you surf? I usually run out of places to check about 10 minutes after logging on. Sad, isn't it? I use my computer mostly for writing, with nary a video game to be found on the hard drive. LOL.

The same thing happened with me. Do you have comcast for your access?

When I go tup this morning, it still wasn't working, but when I plugged into the cable modem, it worked.

I do have comcast. Hmmm...It was working for me fine yesterday morning and was down by last night. I wonder if they did some sort of firewally-firmware upgrade to the modem. Weasels.

What kind of router do you have? I have a Netgear wireless access point (MR814).

Netgear--WGT634

Oh, and I hope you feel better! Unless you're "sick" and not sick. ;-)

[identity profile] myasma.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm only half-sick, so it's the best of both worlds.

I ended up turning everything off and restarting in sequence (cable modem, router, and pc), and it now everything works again.

In other news, my neighbor just came to the door and informed me that someone stole all my yard pigs!

Ah, excellent, it seems less like a comcast conspiracy, and more like a hardware problem or firmware problem on my end. That's good news. :-)

Yard pigs! Not the yard pigs! That's just rude.
