Not necessarily time to retire. Because he admitted he was wrong. Something no one else is willing to do.

Read Paul Krugman's book, The Great Unraveling, if you haven't. He mentions that Greenspan gave practical advice during Clinton's presidency, but gives politicized advice during Bush's presidency.
