I'm here!

I have arrived safely in Atlanta. [livejournal.com profile] dslartoo was kind enough to retrieve my travel-weary ass from the airport and shuttle me around Atlanta for a quick tour of the city. We dined at the Mellow Mushroom where I inhaled a mushroom, artichoke heart and pepperoni calzone. I only had a soy latte and a balance bars for food in the morning.

[livejournal.com profile] reannon, [livejournal.com profile] ariedana and I are checked in and snug as bugs can be in a hotel room with a view.

The day did not start off as smoothly for me, however. I had set my alarm to weak me up around 4am, giving me time to finish packing and what-not. I was supposed to be on the road by 6am to hit the airport and be all checked in for my 8:08 flight.

So, I woke up at 6:10am. I still wasn't finished packing and I wasn't feeling too spry. This is why I type out meticulous packing notes so my stupid self can just read the list and follow directions.

So far, I do not appear to have forgotten anything of significant value.

In order to improve my chances of making my flight, I skipped the shower taking ritual which I so love. I've felt like a grundge puppy all day. I'm waiting for my turn at the shower right now.

So, I make it to the airport by 6:50, skip waiting for the shuttle in daily parking and start walking. I end up walking in the wrong direction, but I eventually get to the terminal.

To wrap up the story, I managed to make my flight on time, make it through security, and secure a soy mocha. Huzzah!

Oh, and security failed to find my leatherman multi-tool in my purse. Again. I feel so safe. It's not like I hide it. It's sitting right there in my purse as it gets xrayed.

Silly.

Gonzo had his leatherman tool on his keyring, right out in a bowl on the belt, and they didn't say anything to him in either Chicago or Boston. Yeah, I feel safe, too. Heh.
