reannon brings us news that Pat Morita, aka Mr. Miyagi, passed away. He was born just south of where I live in Isleton, CA, and actually worked in Sacramento for a time. He was also put in one of the Japanese internment camps during World War II. After having your financial stability destroyed by the United States government under the guise of National Security, it's no wonder he went into comedy.
Well, I must get dressed and head into work early. There will only be two of us there today. Whee.
I hope everyone's post Thanksgiving is going swimmingly!

No mention of his "Happy" days? He was Arnold, the painfully stereotypical asian who ran the bar for a while. Or he ran some retail establishment, I forget now.
He also did a clip on "TV's Bloopers and Practicle jokes" when they had a "guess the celebrity" segment. They had him sitting on a stool in shadow, in a dress while Dick Clark read off clues to his identity. No one guess it, and when he stepped into the light, looking like Miss Bo Peep, I and the entirety of the audience burst into tearful fits of laughter. That guy was a loon; knowing his background makes me think even higher of him.
Sad that he went, but at least he had a measure of success and admiration.
