New Plot Ideas

The Fandom of the Opera
Someone lives in the underground tunnels of Fresno. Deformed due to a freak accident involving hotwings at Hooter's, he dwells in the catacombs writing Slash fiction for any number of shows that he is able to siphon away from unsuspecting satellite TV subscribers.

(inspired by my ambivalent reaction to the movie version of Phantom of the Opera)

I JUST, in this morning's wee hours, caught this, and damn near fell out that MINNIE DRIVER was in it! Hellllllllllllooooooooooooooo--isn't this the 2000's?! What, no obligatory part for Molly Ringwald?!

The sets were lush, and Christine's voice was marvelous, but I fell in love with the music all over again. But, yes--definitely some rough patches overall in the movie.

I like Minnie Driver. Her part was at least funny. The sets were gorgeous, but I wasn't captivated by the cast. The Phantom did not appear very frightening at all. He looked like a pretty boy at a masquerade. I don't care how resourceful you are, if you spend life living in a sewer-close lair, you're not going to be that pretty.

Well, hell--then you needed to see the bearded ice cream shop woman in the TV movie, Surrender, Dorothy.

And, she lived ABOVE ground.
