JC and the Family Tomb
So, JC (James Cameron) is directing a documentary on what he and others belive to be the tomb of big JC (Jesus Christ). They have DNA test results. From what I can tell in the article the dna test results show conclusively that they found DNA. But I'll bite. I plan on watching the show.
From the "Not in my Uterus" Files, Discovery news also reports on the reproductive plight of female stumpies.
"The largest members of the skink family, stumpies give birth to a single infant that is, on average, 35 percent of the mother's body weight. The growing fetus lies on top of the mother's lungs and digestive tract such that, in the latter stages of gestation, the females can no longer move much or eat. Apparently, it's the equivalent to human women giving birth to a 7 year old. The price they pay for trying to further their species! My reproductive organs just folded their fallopian "arms" in a defiant "hell no" pose.
I just hope that if there's such a thing as reincarnation, I hope I don't come back as a stumpie.
I'm on Season 2 of "Six Feet Under". Good stuff.
In other news, I added a wish list on my Tivo for Godzilla movies, hoping to capture some old campy monster movies if they are ever aired on any number of my gazillion cable channels. I got a hit today. Godzilla from 1998 starring Matthew Broderick. And it's dubbed in Spanish. Not quite what I was looking for, but hey.
I found the Slingbox Pro from Buy.com for $199 and free shipping. So, a new toy is on its way.
I spent 11 hours at work today. I look forward to sleep. Still, my inner child is throwing a tantrum for losing much of her weekend. But all things considered, I have my health, my limbs, and fourteen hours of overtime. I'll find a way to get over it. And the big plus is that I enjoy working with my coworkers, so we had some good times while we toiled.
