Tonight I was in the Davis Indoor Sports Center watching Roller Derby. It was jolly good fun. Hard floors, even harder women. I love the nicknames for the team members. My favorites:
La Chupacabra
La Lucha Cinco
Mastic*8
Death Rae
Spankenstein
Jezebel Jett
Li'l Punk was the best player by far. There was a member on each team with the team number of 5150.
Most contradictory nickname: The Yeti. She weighed a buck, if that. She was more of a Yoda.
So, ladies, my challenge for you is to come up with your own Rollergirl name?
I think mine would be the "Annehattan Project". Of course I'd have a picture of a big mushroom cloud on my shirt. Sure, it's nerdy, but I gotta be me.
