Glassy-eyed Mac users

The dream catcher in front of me is going crazy. I've seen that before. It's the Apple 1984 ad, the one they commissioned Ridley Scott to direct for the launch of the Macinitosh computer. The most expensive ad in the entire history of selling beige boxes to puzzled posers. **What the hell are they doing with that?**
**Law of Contagion.** Ramona sounds tense. **Very strong imagery of conformity versus mold-breaking,concealing conformity disguised as mold-breaking. Ever wondered why Mac users are so glassy-eyed about their boxes?**

I just bought a mac the other day--first apple since my old 2E many many years ago. It's supposed to be better for working with photographs and stuff.

Oh yes, it is! Welcome to the cult of Apple. :-) I'm a proud member, and yet not above enjoying a good ribbing for it.

What type of mac? A Macbook? Macbook Pro? Macbook Mini?

a macbook pro. I like it so far, although haven't used it much. I use the applications a lot at the school's computer lab, so I'm somewhat familiar with them.

Next semester (fall) my photjournalism class is going to start branching out into multimedia--using sound and video clips interspersed with still photography. My PC got flustered just thinking about it, so it was time for a switch.

Welcome aboard!

One nifty gadget I enjoy is the Desktop Manager, which allows you to create multiple desktops to clean up clutter. It's fairly easy to transfer between desktops:

Same here. And I disagree, as well. I just found it to be an amusing jab. :-)

While windows and linux users are tied up trying to fix their problems, our macs work, freeing us up to do other things. :-)
