I lost my fan in the petting zoo

I just returned from spending the afternoon at the California State Fair. I enjoyed browsing all the Fairesque stuff. The topper to the day was Weird Al's show. He did a fantastic job. He played all the favorites. Including donning the fat suit for "I'm Fat!"

Good stuff.

In other news, I'm lovin' Bioshock on the 360.

I'm glad to hear that the Dragonladies ([livejournal.com profile] reannon, [livejournal.com profile] ariedana, and [livejournal.com profile] kellinator) made it back safely from Dragon*Con. I look forward to hearing details!

Wish I could have seen Weird Al...I really wanted to, then decided that lying to miss rehearsal plus fighting holiday traffic wasn't worth it when I'd seem him before, so I drove back late Sunday night with nearly no traffic, thank goodness...glad you had fun! Did he encore with Yoda? ;)

His encore was a cell phone song based of a line from his faux interview with Michael Stipe of REM. He did perform Yoda, and the Adventure Begins earlier in the show. Complete in Jedi garb. :D

Bioshock

I just got that game today. Pretty cool. Weird Al is cool, too. I hope he does a show in Atlanta.

Are you harvesting, or rescuing?

We loved Al last night! Did you get seats or were you on the outside? I was sitting dead center of the first section. I was right next to the middle camera. When he came out and was singing in the audience he looked right at me, but apparently decided he wouldn't sing to me, but sang to the girl in front of me. Great show!
