Today went by fast.

I rolled out of bed this morning, made brunch, and read some of the story submissions for my writer's group. Then I picked up Ms. Tao and we rolled over to AI's home for the meeting. It went well, and we're providing good feedback for each other's work.

After that, I came home, dabbled on a few things, and went to play bridge with my card-wielding amigos. I haven't played in a few months, so it was good to get back to that.

I returned home, took care of a few more things, but just came to the realization that I didn't finish my laundry.

I better do one of two things, now: 1)finish my laundry or 2) find a barrel.

Good morning, everyone!

Well, it looks like our department will be wittled down over the next year, as far as help desk is concerned. Fortunately, this is not my unit.

So, in the coming year, I will need to look for new work, see what I can get in the area. If I can't find something good, then I'll have to transfer myself to San Antone...

But I have at least a little over a year to make this call.

I can't believe the number of people who are excited about the show Joe Millionaire. Some folks seem to want to bash women for their gold-digging ways.
There are greedy men, and there are greedy women. And there's this little tradition that still lingers in society that a woman must be taken care of by a man, financially. So, let's get a bunch of women who were raised with this culture to try and catch themselves a rich, handsome man. Shocking.

Somehow, this strikes me as a bit bitter on the part of the show producers.

And then there's the audience. Are these people of substance? I find that a lot of women who wouldn't be caught dead with a man of meager monetary means seem to love this show. Then there are the men who want to see those gold-digging bitches get what they deserve. Yeah!

How sad.
