My prospective director called. The interview has moved to Tuesday at 10am. Thank heavens!

I read "1,000" Cats from volume III of The Sandman. That story was very cute. Ironically, my cat Sascha was cuddling on my lap while I read the story. Yes, one day, long ago, big cats ruled the earth, and hunted humans for prey. I like the dream that they were basically huge domestic cats. Neil must be a cat owner.

I bought a bookshelf for my bedroom yesterday. It will be ready for pickup next Week. This will allow me to organize my room a bit more.

I got this from a fellow Potter fan last night:

If you want to know what Scholastic's book catalog lists as the
description for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, follow this
link...if you don't want to know, then don't read it...but I can tell
you
that it doesn't really give much away that you didn't already guess
after
reading Goblet of Fire, since I already read this summary & wasn't
surprised at all... :)

Nothing in the description explains what the cover art is about,
though...and we do know that Mary GrandPre HAS confirmed the cover is
indeed inspired by her reading of the book, lucky her, but the UK
illustrators weren't allowed to read it, hence just a phoenix on the UK
cover...boy is there lots of speculation among hardcore fans about this
cover art! I just read a few comments and started shaking my head...I'm
sure we won't ever figure out what the cover really means until after
reading anyway, but it's fun to guess...

Also, you can see in this picture about how thick the book itself will
be,
since they are keeping the height & depth to match the other hardbacks
so
they will still be a matching set...since there is about a third more
actual total word count than Goblet of Fire, I'm sure they have changed
how many words per page to keep it from getting unwieldy...

Oh, and if you didn't already hear, JK Rowling had a healthy baby boy
on
March 23rd, named David Gordon Rowling Murray, at the new Royal
Infirmary
in Edinburgh.

So I sent her this response on my theory of the book cover:

If I didn't know any better (and I don't), I'd say the denoument of
this
tale takes place in a branch of an Illuminations candle store. He's
looking
behind him because some git just blazed up the Grapefruit and Brussel
sprout scented tealights they just got in stock.

Just my two (s)cents(less).
