I find myself impressed with Sarah Vowell as I read her book of essays, The Partly Cloudy Patriot. Some of her lines are rather golden, in my opinion. I take these quotes from her essay, "God will Give You Blood to Drink in a Souvenire Shot Glass":

I may not have finally sawed logs until 3am in the wee hours, but I did manage to get up before 9:30am. Rejoice!

There is a cooking show on Food Network just serving as background noise, right now, but the above quote somehow made it through to my consciousness.
