Corporate Services Director(to Volunteer Coordinator): You should show up to that dinner in a wifebeater!
Volunteer Coordinator: Don’t say that! Someone might be offended!
Me: Even men who aren’t wifebeaters who wear those shirts call them wifebeaters.
A guy listening in: Yeah.
Me: and God forbid we offend a wife beater. What are they going to do? Marry me and beat me?

Hmm...I've now calibrated the two scales I use...one at the gym and my new one at home.

As of this morning, my total weight loss is at least 8 lbs. Body Fat percentage as gone down 2%.

Who has a DVD-RW drive? Which kind do you have, and what brands are the best?

You will sink in a mire. You like to think you're
normal, but deep down you really just want to
strip off your clothes and roll around in
chicken fat.

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master

Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth

CONSIDER: The Loverboy

I had a discussion with a coworker who is in charge of a project to replace monitors in our region with flat panel monitors.

This is one of those moments where I have to throw my hands up in the air and shout, "men!". He's got the business sense of a gnat.

Despite my lack of fondness for the choices my company currently makes, I don't like to see us waste money before it is time. I won't go into detail as to what he's proposing, because it's dull to the casual observer. To make a long story short, however, he wants to pull a "switcheroo" that entails us disposing of monitors that, though not pretty (the plastic around the monitor is old), are still working just fine. So, this entails us spending our money ahead of time and disposing of equipment too early. His arguments for what he's trying to avoid are silly. When the monitor swap-out project is set to occur (whenever that happens), he doesn't want to have to give as many of the old working monitors away to the employees (for that's the plan eventually). That even sucks more. He wants to deny employees of a free perk, and incur an expense on new equipment earlier. Forget the fact that there's an expense with disposing of our equipment, and that it ends up in a landfill. Forget that it is a nice gesture of good will to give employees our old equipment that still works. There are some people who just don't have a lot of extra money for that stuff. Dumbshit.
