Brief Day in Review
Apr. 11th, 2004 11:29 pm-Mom came over for Easter dinner. We're not particularly religious, but who are we to pass up an opportunity to make good food and spend a relaxing day at home?
I made:
-A pork loin roast, rubbed with rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper
-roasted veggies
-steamed artichokes
-strawberry gran marnier crepes.
I'm getting better with crepe preparation. This pleases me. And crepes made with spelt flour are delicious. I need to work on some savory crepes next.
We watched a french film, "He loves me, He loves me not". It stars Audrey Tautou (remember Amelie?). It was a mix between He said, she said, and Fatal Attraction...wiiiiiith subtitles!
Deadwood, aka the Cocksucker show, was good. One of the worst sex scenes ever was depicted in there. Bleh.
I caught part of Saturday Night Live on my Tivo. Janet Jackson was the guest host. I may no longer like her music, but her Condoleeza Rice imitation was hilarious.
And the Cork Soaker skit was giggle-worthy in that special, sophomoric sort of way.
I also managed to take care of some laundry, and now I'm reading Richard Clarke's, Against All Enemies. It's a fun read.
