I've been framing!
May. 1st, 2004 09:08 amI went to a wholesale framing establishment near my house to price frames. I bought a series of custom sized frame pices that I can assemble myself. Very clever idea. Plus, I could get glass custom cut the frames look pretty nice. So far I've framed a nice map of Napa Valley (I love maps) for my kitchen. And a watercolor painting of a bottle of V. Sattui's Madeira wine. The Madeira is quite delicious, and worthy of a picture. Both of these prints will be placed in my kitchen near my wine chiller.
Anyway, I spent a lot of money on frame supplies, but for 9 prints, it's costing me an average of $40 per frame. Not bad at all, since often that's what it costs for a frame that doesn't fit exactly, anyway.
Now I have all those posters to frame...but not yet!
Today I'm going to Wondercon in San Francisco. I'll be meeting a few friends there from far away places. I'm looking forward to it. :-)
