Good afternoon, denizens of Live Journal.
Today is a quiet day, and that is a Good Thing. I will essay cleaning up my study area. It suffers from a pesky build-up of Things That Can Be Tossed Out. Not to mention Things That Could be Sold At a Yard Sale, and Things That Could be Given Away.
I also have some toys I want to play, some guitar and drums I wish to practice, as well as a friend who suffers from a failing hard drive. We shall see what develops.

I find myself irked by the news, as usual. I am not pleased with the news developments of the 9/11 commission using George Tenet as a scapegoat. I will be interested to see what others say of this revelation, especially those who worked closely with the intelligence agencies that manipulated this information. As far as I can tell, the disconnect came from the intelligence manipulation of individuals who were hired/loyal to George Bush.

What is going on with the various Republican organizations sending funds to Nader's campaign? I do not think it is right. Is this a new strategy? Would the Republicans be upset if some wealthy democrats bankrolled some conservative Independent/Libertarian party candidate to scrape votes from Bush? Or maybe they should get a more religiously charged politician. That would be fun. Someone who answers the prayers of just enough religious republicans to lure the vote from the GOP. I'm sure they would be upset.
That hardly seems democratic to me, paying others to help defeat your primary opponent. It just serves to underscore the need to seriously revamp our election process. I need to find ways to get involved in helping to change the system.

Bush's military records destroyed. The ones that just so happen to contain information that clearly addresses the 1972-73 time frame that is ever so sketchy. I'm trying real hard not to become a conspiracy theorist, but they aren't making it easy.
