Oct. 21st, 2004 08:45 amI woke up this morning with both cats sleeping next to me. One against my stomach, one against my legs. The affect, in addition to being warm and cute, was that I was pinned in bed. Wearing warm bed clothes with a reasonably high friction coefficient, compounded by my brain being the battleground between slumber and alertness, made for a difficult time getting out of bed.
Normally, when I move in bed, the cats might get a little skittish and move out of the way. But no. They were little fur-lined bricks of snuggling. I had to lift one up and move him over in order to make my egress.
Funny thing last night. I work. I work out. I decide to take my book and stop off at Brew it Up for a salad, soup and a beer. I ran into
modeleccentric, having his pre-work libations. So much for reading.
