Boston Legal and Intelligent Design?
Jan. 17th, 2005 08:47 amI was just watching part of Boston Legal while getting ready for work. Apparently the Intelligent Design issue is being brought up, and Schmidt appeared to be arguing in favor of it as an issue that should be brought up in the science class.
I'll have to re-watch it just to see what lead up to that closing argument.
If scientists were the one bringing this theory into the science classrooms, I'd be less skeptical of it. However, it appears to be driven mainly by people of faith.
It doesn't matter if there is a God or not, really, because his existence cannot be tested. Therefore, the notion of whether or not a Supreme being jumpstarted our lives millions of years ago is somewhat moot until we can test the hypothesis.
