Feb. 9th, 2005 04:36 pmEvery day I see examples that help drive home how ridiculously simple my existence appears to be. The complexity has not yet found a way to surface.
Today was not a bad day. I awoke with a headache. I saw that headache, and raised it two motrin. Napping for an extra hour helped quell the little head-scourge and I arose to make myself presentable for work. Yes, my coworkers were spared another day of me showing up in a barrel with suspenders.
I was about to strangle some coworkers at work who messed around with some equipment I was trying to repair. I know my way around a computer, sure. But I hate the hardware aspect of it. Sure, I like fixing things, but I think the men-folk who engineered some of these motherboard connections had a predilection for pain. some connections are much easier to remove than others. So it's like a finger-game of twister. Push in here, pull up, squeeze. Next thing you know you're fling backwards with the whole cpu as the cable becomes undone and your undoing. Some chuckle head mistook my equipment for spare equipment (despite my bright blue note to the contrary), and ripped off my cpu fan. This does not a happy Anne make.
I then had to clarify to them that they are working under an Annearchy. That's right. The rule of Anne. Under an Annearchy, you read big blue notes on equipment that says "don't touch".
Tonight poses to be fun. Martini tasting with
taogrl. Then to visit B in the hospital, since that is down the road from Ink.
This has not been a good week for a healthy workout regimen.
