No new back pains after tonights labor, and I did more lifting!

Either no new injuries, or I've overdone it on motrin, and I'm soon to slip into a pain-free terminal sleep...

I'm watching Bubba Ho-tep before I drift off to sleep. Mmm..Camp.

I'm going to be brazen and do a Friday Five on a Saturday!

1) If you were in a band (you know, a successful one...), and you HAD to remake an old song, what band/song would you choose and why?

There are a lot of songs I would love to cover, mainly because I love them. Ones that come to mind: Rush's New World Man, if I could ever drum that well. Johnny Clegg and Savuka's "Take My Heart Away" is another timeless favorite of mine.

2) If you were a Make-a-Wish child, what would you wish for (and why)?

I would wish that a cure would be found for my ailment and that only Jude Law and Brad Pitt could administer that cure. gosh, and I hope I'm a make a wish child over 18, or in a state that makes the age of consent younger. ;-)

3) If you had the chance to learn when you were going to die, would you take it? Would you tell anyone if you knew (either your date of death or theirs)?

Hell no. What's the fun in that? Now, choosing how I'm going to die is another matter, and may be partially related to question number 2.

4) If you couldn't die until you helped someone, would you rather live forever selfishly or die earlier?

only if immortality also meant that I could remain young and healthy. Otherwise, I don't think it would be so pleasant to live forever.

5) If there's any goal you haven't accomplished yet, what is it and what is stopping you?

Well, if I haven't accomplished a goal, it is because I either lost interest in the goal, or haven't gotten around to it, or the goal requires the participation of a third party (such as finding an ideal mate).

So, I spent my afternoon reading more of Lee Strobel's "A Case for a Creator", ever more skeptical of its contents. After lunch, I strolled over to Barnes and Noble to pick up some books and have some coffee.

One of the books I chose to buy was Richard Dawkins' "The Blind Watchmaker". What are the odds that as I'm just reading it, a minister with a bible, ostensibly there to have coffee and write a sermon, sits next to me and tries to talk to me about having a higher moral authority from which to base one's decisions.

I cannot write about the whole thing, but I need to make a note of it, and jot down my thoughts later.

He was a handsome minister, too. Damn.

But now I must make haste to work.
