Semi-homemade report
May. 28th, 2005 08:33 amI know that
rubbrduckage is going to regret that she was unable to watch Semi-Homemade this weekend. Then again, she may have, she's just not in town so we can watch it together.
( What gems did she miss? )
This is apparently for when you love the taste of meatloaf, but crave to eat your meatloaf in the shape of a phallic tube. This is closer than "tube steak", than your beefiest of hot dogs!
Here's the recipe:
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
1 packet meatloaf seasoning (recommended: Schilling’s Meatloaf Seasoning Packet)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
Hot dog buns
Relish and chopped onion, for garnish
The rest of the lineup:
Baked Beans
Baby Back Ribs
Beer Salmon
Chocolate Buttermilk Pie
The chocolate buttermilk pie didn't look so bad, actually. But man. Hamburger Dogs. Come on, woman! It was meatloaf in a tube!
This is the second barbeque-related show Sandra Lee has done, but for her "outdoor tablescape" she didn't score the big read truck to have as "yard flare".
