Well, work was busy, as per usual. I feel good about what I accomplished, though, and that's a fine thing. I think our move projects will turn out well, but there's a way to go before my part of the moves get accomplished. This weekend I have a bit of a reprieve, but then the two weekends after that, I'll be potentially quite busy; though I hope I'll have most of saturday off.
So, my friends list is laden with tributes to James Doohan, aka Scotty. I have never read "beam me up" so many times in my life.
I think all those who mourn his loss should behave like Scotty for the rest of the week, be it at work, at home. You should continually not have enough power, and spend your days in the engine room of your cubicle muttering about needing more crystals and what not. I think Scotty would be proud.
For those wishing to blend a little realism into your Scotty references, if anyone asks you to beam them up, you could portray Alzheiimers Scotty and say, "Who the hell are you? Bah, I don't have enough power, anyway!"
Wow. 85 years old. Not a bad run at all.
