Thursday morning
Oct. 6th, 2005 08:54 amGood morning, denizens of Livejournal!
I hope that your days are progressing with satisfaction and amusement. If it is not, I hope you are weathering any trials or misfortune you are experiencing with courage, grace, and success.
Side note: I was validating the spelling of "weathering", for I was initially tempted to spell it as "wethering". I looked up "wether" to discover it's a castrated ram. Woo! Close call.
This morning's reading: www.wonkette.com. They just covered Bush's speech on terrorism. The coverage is rather amusing.
For example:
10:18 "A culture of victimization in which someone else is always to blame and violence is always the solution." Wait, isn't that the Martha Stewart Apprentice show? . . .
Of course, one quote hit home:
10:35 "Some observers adopt a self-defeating pessimism" Busted. Ouch. Yeah, I'm busted, too.
In Sims2 news: I broke it. Too many patches, or something. Or it could be the Serenity lot I downloaded. Regardless, I have to uninstall it all and reinstall it. Or something.
Mom and I have reservations in Cambria for my birthday. The trip is on.
One of my friends is buying Richard Shindell tickets for us today. He's coming to town with Lucy Kaplansky on 11/5. He'll be playing at the Palms.
