Aww, Pakistan and India and Afghanistan...
Oct. 9th, 2005 01:38 pmMan. Pakistan was hit by a nasty Earthquake yesterday. 20,000 already dead?!? Four to Five million people populate the area effected.
As of October 7, the death toll in Katrina was around 1250.
I think we totally just lost the Natural Disaster Spirit Competition.
If anyone ever wonders why I seem to be fairly cheerful on a regular basis, it is because my day has never been as bad as someone's who was drowned in a flood or buried alive. Nothing is sadder than not having a chance to fight and win for your life. To just be wiped off the planet just sucks. I figure that as long as you can still take a breath and walk off into a new day, life is tremendously good.
