The military has to pay Iraqi newspapers to print favorable articles about the Iraqi war.

But the statement suggested that the "information operations" program may have veered into a gray area where government contractors paid to have articles placed in Iraqi newspapers without explaining that the material came from the U.S. military and that Iraqi journalists were paid to write positive accounts.

Oh, nice.

Minutiae

I awoke this morning to two cats-a=cuddling and a parched throat combined with a need to pee.

I did manage to practice drums a bit, brew coffee, have a snack, take my vittyminz and clean up the kitchen.

All the while, I was able to watch Sandra Lee use Vanilla-laced Cool Whip for the bazillionth time and make a yam souffle. You can have yams, you can have souffle, but I don't think you should have a yam souffle, or a youffle, if you will. After recovering from Semi-homemade trauma, I stuck in LOTR-Two Towers and watched the movie with the cast commentary. Well, part of it, for I did not have the full morning without obligations.

My drum lesson is now under my belt, and my hair appointment is imminent.

The lesson was really good as always. Now to find time to practice what he taught me.
