An association for every purpose
Jan. 20th, 2006 05:32 pmToday has been pretty decent, although I was feeling a bit less than spiff, gastronomically speaking. I'm not quite spiffy in that department yet, but I am feeling vaguely spiffesque.
I had yogurt for breakfast this morning, thinking that might actually assist in comforting my irate tummy. It did provide some respit from the unrest. While eagerly consuming my yogurt, I read the carton in which said yogurt was contained. Apparently, Yoplait was certified by the National Yogurt Association for having Live and Active cultures. I suppose if the cultures were active and not live, they would be called "Zombie Cultures"?
Anyway, there is indeed a website for this association. So, if you too are concerned about whether your cultures are live and active, go visit AboutYogurt.com. I was curious to find out if there was a National Yogurt convention, but I found a convention for the National Vaginitis Association instead. Apparently yogurt (live and active yogurt!) is handy for that,as well.
That's your little odd factoid for the day.
