A possible glimpse into how I might die
Sep. 28th, 2006 01:30 amTonight was Goddess Game Night and the ladies and I gathered at Chez
rubbrduckage domicile to play Killer Bunnies. I picked up
taogrl and we hit the Nugget to get some snacks to accompany the fine dinner
rubbrduckage made for us. We acquired some pesto pumpkin dip, some hummus, cantaloupe, breadsticks and candy.
I tasted the cantaloupe, which looked so tasty and fresh. It tasted funny.
taogrl tasted some, too. We both remarked how odd it tasted.
taogrl thought it had a citrusy flavor, I thought it has been soaked in sprite, or some funky preservative. Aside from flavor, it seemed quite fine. Finally
rubbrduckage tasted it and said, "Oh, no. It's bad." Thank goodness someone in our group knows her science.
Essentially the melon was on the road to becoming a melon liqueur. Ew. Who knew fruit could look so good, taste interesting and yet be bad? Surely it doesn't mean to be bad; it's misunderstood.
Somehow I suspect
taogrl may die together dining on something tainted.
