Christmas Eve^2
Dec. 23rd, 2006 09:51 amMerry C-E-E, folks!
I hope your Saturdays are going well!
Mom changed plans on me today, she didn't feel up to going to San Francisco as she didn't like the limits of time for the Ferry Schedule. That's probably for the best. I invited her to my place for Christmas Eve and she can spend the night and we can go to Uncle Peter's for Christmas day together. So, I need to take care of some stuff that's built up in the guest room and prepare the guest bed. :-)
So, the Christmas Eve dinner so far:
Filet roast
Stuffed Mushrooms
Sweet Potato Casserole
Dinner rolls of some sort.
I need to plan a vegetable to bring to Uncle Peter's abode. Maybe I'll just make extra stuffed mushrooms.
I will also try to swing by
taogrl's place, as well.
So, it is Saturday morning, and I'm having a bowl of Flax Raisin bran. I got it at the Food Cooperative. It's really tasty. Ergo, it must not be nearly as healthy as I think. But it is high in fiber.
Ghostbusters is on comedy central. Always a fun movie. When I saw it was on, I immediately remembered a high school graduation memory:
brittadotcom and some other friends of ours went and saw the premier of Ghostbusters the day after we graduated. I don't think we got too much sleep that night before, either.
But it is fun to see how Bill Murray has grown in his acting. Ghostbusters back in the late 80s, and then Lost in Translation a few years ago.
Now, I'm doing something rare, watching live television. I haven't seen commercials in a long time. There's some guy kissing his amp'd mobile phone. And music compilation cds. I've forgotten about those commercials. This cd was "Goin' South", and it has all the southern rock classics: Heard it in a Love Song, Sweet Home Alabama, The Night They Drove Ol' Dixie Down, etc.
Who buys these compilations? I've never once called immediately to order one of those cds.
