Jun. 15th, 2002 12:02 amTonight, I joined Binky and his amigos to see The Bourne Identity. First of all, it was an okay movie in its own right.
However, relative to the book, which was juicy delicious pulp, it was found lacking.
Marie, in the book, is an extremely bright and perceptive economist. In the movie, she's a ditzy gypsy from Germany. There is no vile antagonist like Carlos in the movie. That's a big loss. There is no secret nasty operation like Medusa. And they ripped off a plot point from The Replacement Killers.
So, if you read the book, you shall be disappointed.
After that, we went to Katmandu for Indian food.
It was most delightful, short of this nagging jaw problem I'm having. It started last night. I don't know what got out of whack, but if it doesn't work itself out by Sunday, I'll be calling the dentist to see what's going on. Every so often, usually after I eat, I get a nagging throbbing along the right side of my jaw. sometimes the upper, sometimes the lower jaw. It's really pissing me off.
