Moments like me rotating my mattress by myself make me want to acquire a video camera and a tripod. I have a queen sized pillow top mattress, so it's thick and heavy. That's kind of like how I like my men, but I digress.
Had a video camera been trained on me in my bedroom during this delicate mattress dance (that's right, I said mattress dance), you would have seen the mattress fall on me, following a series of desperate, yet amusing recovery measures on my part.
Some flailing was involved.
Some squirming and spinning.
Some falling backwards and legs in the air.
Regardless. When all was said and done, the mattress was rotated where it needed to be, and required only a little movement two inches to the right.

sounds like something else I like to do involving a mattress and a woman.

Heavy mattresses
Now we have a Tempur-Pedic mattress. You wanna talk heavy. The pillows weigh 3+ pounds. Each. That comfort foam is comfortable but dang is it heavy. I do not look forward to turning it should we ever decide to. I won't be doing it by myself needless to say!
