Oct. 10th, 2002 09:29 amYesterday was spent running all over.
-Kew Gardens--lovely
-Tour of British Library with the delightful Miss Penny Bunch. The Library is the 3rd largest in the world, falling behind the Library of Congress and France's library.
-The National Gallery. This shows all the fun art from the medieval time periods through the 19th century. I'll have more to say on this later. Here are a few thoughts to preserve:
--Poor Saint Catherine. She's stuck carrying that wheel around.
--Who is the Sain with the pliers? Yeah, her. She would be hot if her teeth weren't yanked out.
--Saint Sebastian never looked so bored except when being impaled by arrows.
We found some delish Indian food at last!
The hostel bar is reasonably well stocked with instruments of innebriation.
We met some Aussies!
There's a valley girl living down the hall! And, Ohmigod! She's totally noisy!
The tube rocks.
Our tour guide at Kew Gardens sounds like the depressed Robot in Hitch Hiker's Guide.
