weaktwosAll this having fun is making me tired.
Last night:
-wine at Le Select on Montparnasse
-dinner at Polidor
-Found first authentic "european" toilet that was essentially a hole in the ground with a place directing you to put your feet.
-Rejoiced at not soiling own pants while squating to urinate. (see above)
-Walking down bd St. Michel
-Watched bad softporn on french television. It was the only authentically french show I could find; all the rest were dubbed american shows.
Today:
-Le Tour Eiffel: it's f'in cold up there! The lines were long considering it is off season.
-Notre Dame: despite me being a religious skeptic, it's truly impressive. Each Saint has its own side chapel. The exterior was also a sight to behold. They even used authentic medieval lighting (it was dark as hell--I mean "heck").
-Saw the monument of Peace (it might be the Peace Arch...opposite the Tour Eiffel. Ironically, part of the glass erection(it's not just for genitals, kids)was broken, and in a general state of disrepair.
-Rescued some fellow americans.
-Had dinner with two delightful Irish lads.
-Off to L'Arc de Triomph!
Tomorrow:
-Beware the Ides of October. It's my birthday, as well as that of Nietzche and Oscar Wilde. Hippo birdy two me.
-the Louvre.
