If they are brain dead without a reasonable chance of recovery, I would support allowing them to be taken off life support after a specified period of time. I always think it is better to err on the side of caution though, and I think it's better to go above and beyond what is minimally necessary, just to give the person the benefit of the doubt.
If a person is being fed through a tube and paralized but their mind is still functioning and they are aware of what is going on, I don't think we should be able to kill them if they don't want to die.
That being said, the fact that the guy wants to take her off life support so he can marry another woman, and wouldn't have had he not been involved with said woman, is probably true. You know us men. lol
