Yep. Looks like fedex screwed the pooch on this one. I'd being pointing this out to fedex via their 800 number.

In retrospect, I think it's a case of time-change. Shanghai is 16 hours ahead, Alaska is 1 hour behind.

Yup, I'd say time zones are definitely the issue here, since China is towards the "end" of the international date line and Alaska is close to the "beginning" of it.
