S is for Saturday, and for Shopping

So, my coworker Bee from Colorado Springs is in town to help us out with our understaffing problem. So, I took her out this afternoon. We strolled around Old Sac and had lunch at the Rio City Cafe. We got a table overlooking the river, and had a leisurely lunch consisting of their cheesy bread loaf (delish!) and their gorgonzola salad (equally delish). We got some shopping done, as well. We also got in a lot of walking. I showed her the Crest, I showed her Sutter's Fort, I showed her the Fab Forties.

All told, here is today's haul (which includes other excursions outside of tourism):

-A new drum throne that sits lower to the ground (acquired after my drum lesson)
-Bath salts (lavendar, rose, dragonblood, and another whose name escapes me)
-Mugs from the Artist's collaborative
-a new wax seal
-Then I ended up hitting best buy on the way home. I had more certificates. Damn those 10 dollar sales.
-While you were sleeping
-All three Jurassic Park movies (one mainly because I know the dude who played "Screaming Hunter" in the sequel)
-Bambi, Platinum Edition
-Top Secret
-Monty Python's Meaning of Life
-Hoosiers
-Smashing Pumpkins' Greatest Hits

And then I got some grocery shopping done. I got the fixings for some chili, again. I want to try a chili made with my Imperial Stout.

Tomorrow, I plan on making cookies. Mmm.

And I'm not home to partake of the great haul and food. Oh, well, soon enough. Glad Beth was able to go downtown and have fun. Did she love Evangelines?
