Well, this is the second non-family related day of my vacation. Work seems miles away, right now, but the weekend, albeit full of pleasant moment, was balanced out with a little anger-inducing moments of dysfunctional bliss.

I got some shopping done with taogrl on Monday, some goofing off, some drum practice, some house cleaning. Theoretically, I could spend the whole week slaving away at home organization projects, but that doesn't appeal.

Today I started reading "Wicked" by Gregory Mcguire. I'll get more into that later on tonight. More work on the drums is in store, as well.

I'm watching the seasons of Battlestar Galactica, too. Starting with the mini-series. I love that the Cylons are religious freaks. They were created by man, but they believe in God and God's Will. I've often had a sense that if God exists, he or she is a sublime smart-ass, and not necessarily omnipotent or omniscient, just more potent and sciential than we are.

I love "Wicked." I read "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" first and enjoyed it a great deal.

I *really* miss having this week off. Gotta do something about that next year...
