apparently it had to do with ambien, which i can tell you can eff your mind up royally and have you do/say weird shit and not remember in the morning, but if you are on ambien, for god's sake, KEEP YOUR CAR KEYS WAY AWAY.

on npr they said the original officers supposedly smelled alcohol anyway, so who knows. great to do an investigation NOW, that all the chemicals are out of the blood stream :P

Yes, regarding the Ambien - in a way I'm almost kind of disappointed that he's claiming addiction and the need for treatment. Because there have been reports of some hellaciously intense activity while sleeping when one is taking Ambien; this is not the first time I've heard of someone driving while asleep while taking Ambien. And as it's one of the new "new big drugs", it's an issue I'd like to see talked about more.
