12:45am. Well past the witching hour. I have just completed reading Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones. It was wonderful. Her writing style was approachable, the yarn she spun powerful and memorable.

My English teacher from my Junior year of high school said that some lines in literature are so good, they make your teeth hurt. I can understand that. I suppose everyone's reaction to good lines is unique. Perhaps some writhe in literary ecstacy. But I digress.

My point was that I found lines in here that, while not making my teeth hurt, made my internal organs pull a chinese firedrill outside of my body and then snap back to their original positions. In short, I was moved.

Of course, some of the passages simply made me cry.

Now, slowly descending from the afterglow of a good novel, I am spent. Sleep is about to take hold of me and escort me to another reality.
