I'm safely in San Antonio...with high speed internet connection!

I didn't sleep a wink last night. I'm running on a few hours of shallow plane napping. I had some odd dreams. I dreamed of Thomas. Yes, still thoughts of him pop into my brain, and I get a little down. Ah, the sentimental fool that I am.

A rather odd dose of serendipity came my way this morning. I arrived at the airport at 4:30am. Checked in, all was fine. I sat at the food court a bit and read Jennifer Government . When the time came to board, I wandered over to my gate. I boarded the plane. I realized my burden was a little less than what should be.

I had forgotten my jacket. I arrange to get off the plane (no, I didn't delay anyone, nor was my behavior a security breech that shut down the whole terminal). I fetch my jacket, and who should be sitting at a table near my jacket? A cousin of mine that I had lost touch with. I haven't seen her during the holiday gatherings for a few years because she dumped her hubby and moved in with some banking guy in El Dorado Hills. 'Twas a wee bit of a scandal for the good Catholic family. But there could be worse.

I find it quite amazing though, that had I not forgotten my jacket, I never would have ran into her. As was discussed last night, it indeed is the little things in life.

Arriving in San Antone, I realized that I forgot my toothpaste and toothbrush. Ahoy, Target! I purchased some water and a cat V cable(also left unpacked). Furthermore, since my rental vehicle came with a cd player, this was an excuse to buy some new music! Yay!
