Another fine evening of overtime. Fortunately, my duties are not as oppressive as they were last week...so far.

Today started off with a bang, or more accurately, a "zzzt". The power went out in one of our buildings about 15 minutes before I got into work (around 7:30am).

Security was rather thin today, so we helped out with crowd control. We were responsible for evacuating the power-deficient building. Though we have a UPS system, we were concerned that the UPS might run out of power before SMUD got us back online, so we wanted everyone out, rather than people falling and cracking their head open. As a result, we got a radio to play with so we could communicate with security, if need be.

Everything was going smoothly--well as smoothly as having a dark building can go. Then the amusement started:

H: Base, this is Harvey. Can I get someone to relieve my post. I have to go potty.

Yes, one of our Security boys had to tinkle. Tinkle is the only word that I consider wussier than "potty".

But security was tight. They couldn't relieve him. Therefore, he couldn't relieve himself. Later, they found some guy in supply to help the poor potty-perturbed fellow out.

Needless to say, the Texan and I were feeling badly for Harvey, but giggling nonetheless.

Then the next problem. The shipment of new computers didn't arrive today like they were supposed to. Rather than let our project float behind, we rattled some cages, and a compromise was made. They could get that truck out here tonight.

Tag, I'm it, again.

If he was here, he could've written his name in the snow.

That is, if his dick would be stupid enough to gaze out of a zipper in -10 temps and 25-mph winds...
